Why should I use Chicoco Property Management?

Unlike holiday home management companies focused on tourism that have a set service offering for changeovers, transitional seasonal staff with limited training and set times allowed for budgeting. Chicoco have a dedicated permanent team of professionals that are used to dealing with premium properties, hight net worth individuals and bring flexibility with a can-do attitude to any request.

I’m not sure how often or when I’ll visit my property, is this an issue?

This is very common for our second homeowner clients in Cornwall. Your managed property will always be 80% ready at all times, then with 24-48 hours notice we can place fresh bedding and linens, have the property acclimatised and ensure your welcome home provisions are fresh and ready for you, including fresh flowers if required.

Will you manage all maintenance and repairs?

With many trades already in-house. For specialist safety services, we have a network of accredited and approved contractors, who, if required, will be hosted by a Chicoco property manager that will check works upon completion.

My friends and family might use the property too, is this ok?

A stress-free visit is guaranteed for all authorised visitors to your home. The same level of care will be given to the readiness of your home, and we are happy to offer a “meet and greet” service to explain the operation of the house and as ever arrange in advance any events, restaurant bookings and fresh “welcome home” provisions for arrival. In addition, we are at hand for any regional queries if your friends or family have any area-related questions or requirements during their visit. After your guests leave, Chicoco will clean the property, ensure refuse is out on the required day and have all linens cleaned in readiness for the next home use.

How will you manage security?

Many of our clients nominate us as first point of contact for alarm response. As standard we offer a fortnightly visit to the property, this can be increased to weekly if preferred and optionally we can install covert web-cams with 24/7 monitoring and recording if preferred.

Cleaning, do you offer just household cleaning?

Your property manager can schedule far more than just household cleaning. Cornwall life is relaxing but also messy, that’s half the fun. Carpet cleaning, window cleaning (inside and out), oven cleaning, floor polishing (just to name a few) are all available on-demand or scheduled.

How are my household bills and ad hoc maintenance charges managed in my absence?

Everything from a missing roof tile, blocked gutter, faulty boiler, dripping tap, decorating, welcome home supplies and provisions can all be taken care of by Chicoco Property Management. Our clients often leave a sum on account and your property manager will tend to all bills that may arise in your absence (within agreed spending limits), your end-of-month statement will give a full financial summary.

What about the grounds and gardens to my property

These can be taken care of by Chicoco too, as little or as much as you want us to do throughout the seasons.
